My mentor’s name is Sheri Bonner. She has an associates degree in science and started off working at Ralphs. Then started working at Qualcomm 19 years ago. Now she is the manager of her team who does field repairs of software and hardware for engineers. She even works with her husband. She chose to work at Qualcomm because she wanted to get out of Los Angeles and because San Diego is such a beautiful city.

Today I interviewed one of my co-workers about their education and career path. I interviewed a really nice guy named Miguel Orduno. He went to Mira Mesa High School where he was the class of 1984. Then he went to ITT Tech for three years. After that, he worked at a startup company for eight years then decided to go back to school to get his bachelors in computer engineering. He went to Mira Mar College and UCSD. In 1998, he started at Qualcomm. What he does today is Lab Operations where he specializes on a specific systems platform. He also organizes training classes for new employees and advises the group that I'm working with which is field repair.
